Spaguetti Carbonara Thermomix

Spaghetti Carbonara

This traditional recipe for Spaghetti carbonara is the traditional one, which you would have Italy, but with the Thermomix. A dish so simple that even a child can do it. At the end I give you instructions to take less time, doing the cooking of the pasta in the pot and not having the thermomix working on smaller tasks: D. Because it has bacon, you need to be careful with the salt.

Ingredients:
For the carbonara:
60gr of shallots or onions
180gr of bacon chopped in small pieces
20 ml extra virgin olive oil
3 medium eggs
1 egg yolk
60gr grated parmesan
½ teaspoon of salt
1 pinch of pepper
To cook the pasta:
3 litres of water (if you cook in a pot)
1.5 litre and a half (if you cook it in the Thermomix®)
Salt
400 gr of spaghetti
To decorate:
Grated Parmesan cheese
Parsley

Preparation:

Put the onion in the bowl of the Thermomix® and put it in the bowl for 4 seconds/speed 4. Scrape the sides of the bowl.

Add oil and bacon and saute for 5 minutes, Varoma, speed 1. Remove and reserve.
Without washing the bowl, add the eggs, egg yolk, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and mix 15 seconds in speed 4. Incorporate the bacon with the onion, stir it, and reserve.
To cook the pasta use the Thermomix® or a pot with plenty of salt water. If you choose to do so in the Thermomix® without washing the bowl, pour the water and program 7 minutes, 100º, speed 1. When the water boils, add the salt and the pasta and program the time indicated in the package, 100º, reverse and speed spoon.

If you cook the pasta in the conventional method, remember to pour about 1 litre of water per 100 gr of pasta. When the water begins to boil, pour the pasta with the salt and cook the time indicated by the package.

Drain the pasta - it is the basket or the varoma. Add into the bowl with the bacon and eggs, mix well and serve. Sprinkle with grated cheese and garnish with a little parsley.

Notes:

- To save time: this recipe can be ready in 15 minutes. What I do to save time is to make the "carbonara" in the thermomix while in a pot I cook the pasta. As you see the recipe is very simple.
